Canyon County voters to consider reduced levy override

The Canyon County Ambulance District will have a reduced levy override amount on the November ballot compared to the May election. The current tax per $100,000 of taxable assessed value is $10.14 per year. If the proposed levy is approved, the tax is expected to increase to $25.10 per $100,000 of taxable assessed value, resulting in a $14.96 per year increase. This increase will be permanent. The district is updating their website, including a tax calculator, and can be contacted at (208) 795-6920 for questions or concerns about the levy override. In case of an emergency, residents can dial 911 for assistance from Canyon County Paramedics.
