Caldwell Open House for Kimball Avenue Bridge Replacement

Staff Report / Caldwelllocal.org

The Local Highway Technical Assistance Council (LHTAC) along with the City of Caldwell is hosting an open house to discuss the replacement of the Kimball Avenue Bridge at Indian Creek. This bridge is nearing the end of its service life and requires replacement due to severe deterioration.

Residents of Caldwell and nearby communities are invited to attend the event, where they will have the opportunity to meet with the project team and ask questions.

The open house is scheduled for November 19, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It will take place at the City Council Chambers located at 205 South 6th Avenue, Caldwell, ID 83605.

The project will involve replacing the main bridge structure over Indian Creek and two adjacent pedestrian plazas on Kimball Avenue, just north of Blaine Street. The existing bridge, which was built in 1933, has deteriorated significantly and is no longer safe for use.
