Linden War Memorial Rededication Ceremony Scheduled

Staff Report / cbuslocal.org

On November 19, 2024, Mayor Andrew J. Ginther will join local veterans, the Ohio National Guard, and community partners for the rededication of the Linden War Memorial at Linden Park in Columbus. The memorial honors individuals from the community who made the ultimate sacrifice for the country.

The memorial's previous location on a peninsula in the middle of Cleveland Avenue was determined to be unviable and unsafe for veterans. It faced accessibility issues and had been damaged after being struck by several vehicles in recent years. The event marks a significant moment for the community to honor those who served.
