Literature in the Garden Event for Kids
Staff Report / nampalocal.org
The University of Idaho Extension and Canyon County Junior Master Gardener volunteers are hosting a Literature in the Garden event on Tuesday, December 10, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the MP Room.
This program aims to engage children, ages 6 to 11, in learning about garden and ecology-themed children's books, while also participating in hands-on garden activities. Younger children, ages 5 and under, are welcome to join but must be accompanied by an adult.
This month's featured book is "The Bug Girl" by Sophia Spencer. Participants will learn about bugs and have the opportunity to create "cookie" bugs during the program.
This event is part of the Junior Master Gardener curriculum and encourages children to engage in creative expression and exploration related to gardening.
