### Freezing Rain Alert for the Treasure Valley Region

The U.S. National Weather Service in Boise, Idaho, has issued a weather alert for the upcoming days, with an increased probability of precipitation and potential freezing rain in parts of the region.

Forecasts indicate a **30-50% chance of freezing rain** overnight through Friday morning, particularly along the I-84 corridor. Areas expected to be most affected include **Caldwell, Boise, and Jerome**. Residents and travelers are urged to exercise extreme caution during this period, as freezing rain can lead to icy road conditions and hazardous commuting.

Here is a breakdown of precipitation probabilities in different locations:

- **Baker City**: Probability remains high Thursday night but decreases steadily over the weekend, falling to as low as 12% by Monday night.

- **Banner Summit**: Precipitation chances peak Thursday overnight (90%) and drop significantly by Friday afternoon, staying more stable through Saturday and Sunday.

- **Boise**: Starting with a 71% chance of rain Thursday night, probabilities taper off before rising again Saturday, with a 68% chance overnight into Sunday.

- **Bogus Basin**: Very high chance of precipitation (97%) Thursday night, remaining significant through Friday before tapering off into early next week.

- **Brundage Mountain**: Precipitation begins at 78% Thursday night but decreases steeply toward less than 10% by Friday afternoon.

Cautious travel is advised throughout the weekend, particularly during overnight hours and early mornings when freezing temperatures combined with precipitation could pose risks. Stay updated on local forecasts and ensure proper preparation if you must be on the road.
