**Nampa Public Library Hosts Junior Master Gardener Program: Literature in the Garden Series**
The Nampa Public Library, in collaboration with the Canyon County Junior Master Gardener volunteers from the University of Idaho Extension, invites families to join the "Literature in the Garden" program, designed to engage children in garden and ecology-themed activities. This event series is geared toward children ages 6 to 11, with younger children welcome under adult supervision.
The next session will take place on **Friday, March 14, from 3:30 to 4:30 PM**, in the library’s **MP Room**. The featured book for this session is **"And The Good Brown Earth" by Kathy Henderson**. The program will highlight the wonders of soil, focusing on what lives in it and its composition. Participants will explore soil layers, create an edible soil layer model, and help prepare the terrace garden boxes for spring planting in April.
Activities are developed as part of the Junior Master Gardener curriculum, inspiring learning through hands-on experiences, creative expression, and outdoor exploration. This interactive program combines storytelling with practical garden activities to foster an appreciation for the natural world.
