**Caldwell Launches Recruitment for Trauma Intervention Program Volunteers**

The Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of the Treasure Valley is recruiting new volunteers to join its team in providing critical support to those experiencing traumatic events. TIP volunteers assist survivors of incidents such as sudden deaths, industrial accidents, sexual assaults, overdoses, violent crimes, and other emergencies.

These specially-trained individuals respond directly to scenes following a call from first responders, including law enforcement, fire departments, and EMS personnel. On-site, volunteers provide emotional and practical support as well as access to resources.

To prepare for this vital role, interested participants must complete TIP’s training academy, which is scheduled in April 2025. The training schedule is extensive, requiring commitment to all dates.

**April 2025 Training Academy Schedule:**

- Thursday, April 10: 7 PM - 10 PM

- Friday, April 11: 7 PM - 10 PM

- Saturday, April 12: 9 AM - 5 PM

- Sunday, April 13: 9 AM - 3 PM

- Monday, April 14: 7 PM - 10 PM

- Tuesday, April 15: 7 PM - 10 PM

- Thursday, April 17: 7 PM - 10 PM

- Friday, April 18: 6 PM - 10 PM

- Saturday, April 19: 9 AM - 4 PM

- Additional Continuing Education: Wednesday, May 21: 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM

The Caldwell Police Department is one of the agencies promoting the program, emphasizing the critical role TIP volunteers play in the community. Individuals interested in volunteering must be prepared to dedicate their time to rigorous training to serve in times of crisis.

For those looking to make a meaningful difference within the Treasure Valley, this program offers an opportunity to provide immediate assistance and comfort to those in need.
