Captain Joel Damron retired from the Boise Fire Department on [insert date], concluding 18 and a half years of service to the City of Boise. Prior to joining the fire department in 2006, he served 14 years as a police officer in Caldwell, totaling 33 years in public service as a first responder.

During his time with Boise Fire, Captain Damron spent 13 years on Truck 7 and was a member of the Technical Rescue Team from 2008 to 2020. In 2020, he was promoted to Captain in the Prevention Division and became a certified IAAI-FIT Fire Investigator in 2021. He has received two ribbons for life-saving incidents while serving on Truck 7.

The Boise Fire Department expressed gratitude for Captain Damron's dedication and service to the community of Boise.
